A fun and successful summer swim season requires the collaboration and cooperation of the entire Summerfield North community. The Stingrays need YOUR help!
When you register your child, you will be asked to volunteer for a variety of jobs associated with both home and away meets. These jobs are not just nice to do – most are required by TSA to ensure an official meet.
There is a great tradition of volunteering in the Summerfield North community. Most families sign up for a job (or two) each meet.
Each job has an associated point value. The three families with the largest number of volunteer points for jobs fulfilled by the end of the season will receive a prize. There are no requirements to accrue a specific number of points and no financial penalties for failing to volunteer.
How and When to Sign Up
To access the volunteering positions you signed up for at registration go to the CALENDAR page. Next, scroll down through the calendar to find the swim meets. Look on the right-hand side; you will see oval, green 'OPEN' buttons. Under that, click on 'Job Sign-Up'. Select/edit your job(s).
Volunteer Details
- A family’s volunteer commitment may be fulfilled by any adult member of the family or friend.
- Volunteers should check-in before the meet and check out after their assigned duty is complete with the volunteer coordinator in order to receive credit for their duty.
- If you cannot perform your volunteer duty, it is your responsibility to find a replacement and inform the volunteer coordinator.
- Each volunteer must complete their entire assigned duty.
- Every effort is made to keep your first choice of volunteer duties, but know that they can be adjusted throughout the season in order to fulfill the duties of each meet.
